By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: 2007Action note:
  • 10/9/07 JOYD
Summary: Examines the status of Trinidad and Tobago's trade policy regime, as well as other trade-related development factors, based mainly on Trade Policy Review 1998 (TPRTT) and to a lesser extent TPRTT, 1999. Highlights the area identified by the governing body of world trade that the country needs to address to ensure compliance (as far as possible) with the rules, disciplines and commitments made under the Multilateral Trade Agreements; and the existence of a trade policy regime characterised by little or no distortions, thus facilitating a smoother functioning of the global trading system.
