Notes that while tourism has made significant contributions to the economies of the OECS countries, its potential for further expansion may be subsiding as new destinations offering similar and competitive attractions segment the markets. In order to compete effectively, small island states should give active consideration to the consolidation of the gains made and the organisation and management of the sector in a manner that maximises the potential benefits.
