Identifies the initial tasks as: stating the goals of the improvement effort, identifying and training a steering team, and developing a formal project plan. Lists the steps that follow as: 2nd - identifying and describing all the processes within the information system; 3rd - prioritizing of processes to be addressed; 4th - measuring the current efficiency of the process and analysing it for improvement; 5th - determining the objectives and vision for the new process, and developing a project plan to improve the process; 6th - designing, developing, and documenting (mapping)the new process; and 7th - implementing the new process.
