Summary: Summarizes the criteria adopted by the ILO's Committee on Freedom of Association and Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations. Presents a comparative study of existing regulations in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, arguing that the MERCOSUR integration process should allow them to agree on the harmonization of their respective labour laws, and to align them as necessary on ILO standards.
