Summary: Focuses on the constituent elements of anticompetitiveness as outlined in the Green Paper entitled 'A proposal for a Fair Trading Act', and on the role and functions of the institutions that are proposed. Analyses the Green Paper and makes comparison with some of the established competition law systems. Discuses the Regulated Industries and makes reference to the telecommunications situation in Jamaica and the lessons that Trinidad and Tobago can learn from this experience. Looks at the question of a CARICOM wide policy on competition and what effect this could have on the region.
