Summary: Study examined a model - the case of the research centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) in relation to agriculture in the developing world. A survey was conducted on the existing international New and Renewable Sources of Energy (NRSE) networks with the expectation that it might reveal some of the problems and innate strengths associated with NRSE that could affect efforts to establish and operate a network in this field. Grouped the developing countries in eight ecological and geographical regions.
