Summary: Outlines present Europe/Caribbean relations which are overwhelmingly bilateral and mostly reflect historical ties, and notes that there is good reason to expect this pattern to continue in the near future. The Lom Conventions have all attempted to facilitate closer links within CARICOM states as well as between the Caribbean ACP, the French DOM and the British and Dutch OCT.
