Pursues the following themes: (1) defining and describing a communication perspective; (2) formulating the contours of cultural identity; (3) calypso, especially Barbadian calypso, and the creation of cultural identity; and, (4) public discourse, especially Walcott's poetic prose, in relation to cultural identity.
