DOWNES, Andrew creator text 1995 monographic Provides a historical overview of educational development in Barbados in order to demonstrate how development strategies in Barbados have placed particular emphasis on the exploitation of the country's natural resources bases: agriculture, manufacturing and tourism. Concludes that these strategies and the consumption patterns of citizens have led to some degree of environmental degradation.
