SPROUT, Ronald V.A.

Economic relations between Latin America and the high-performing Asian developing countries. - 1995

Focuses on the interaction between Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela, and China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand in the areas of foreign trade and direct investment. Observes that economic relations between these two sets of countries in the near term would seem to hinge greatly on the reform process in Latin America and the Caribbean, and on the evolution of NAFTA.
