Compares the performance of students in the latter programme with those doing the same programme via a face to face delivery system. Highlights some of the characteristics of both institutions which result in their 'hesitant' approach to distance education. Discusses some areas for improvement in order for the potential of distance education at both institutions to be fully exploited.
