Posits that the message we want to send includes - the priority of developing our competitiveness within the context of the global trade liberalization and the development of economic blocs - that beside our traditional partners in the EEC we look to other countries within the new European Economic area for partnership - that we must seek to improve our competitiveness and our standing in the global economy - that every avenue for Caribbean cooperation and development must be exploited - and that the Caribbean has been strengthened in its resolve to deepen the integration process.
